A new adventure begins…

We are off to our first year of heartbeet catering.

Very excited to start a new heartbeet adventure – this time with a mobile kitchen instead of a restaurant.
We are happy to be working with food again and to be hopefully seeing you all again at one of our food truck evenings in Kimberley, BC.

It’s time to say goodbye…

After almost four years of heartbeet bistro, it is time for us to move on. heartbeet will close its doors by the end of April, 2017 and we will be off to new adventures, taking over the management of the Kimberley Inn Hotel under new ownership. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for your patronage and all the support we’ve received throughout the years. We’ve had many great nights at the “beet” and will carry countless special memories in our hearts.

Taking a break

We are taking a break from March 27th – April 5th, 2017. We will be back at the stove on Thursday, April 6th!

There is a first for everything


We thought we change it up a bit this year and are offering
a set 3-course Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 25th
with a free-range, slow-cooked and boneless turkey with all
the trimmings plus we will be having a delicious and creamy
Risotto for our vegetarian and gluten free friends out there.
This event is by reservation only and seating is limited.

The elves have been busy again in our bake shop and created a delightful selection of our traditional Swiss Christmas Cookies. A great give-away or even greater treat for yourself and your loved ones. Swing by the bistro and pick them up by the dozen, starting Thursday, December 8th.

We have extended our opening days for the Holidays:

Tuesday, Dec. 20th – Sunday, Dec. 25th   5 – 10pm

Note that Christmas Day, December 25th is by reservation only
for our 1st annual Turkey Dinner.

Monday – Wedensday, closed

We will be open with regular hours throughout the holiday season, including December 25th and January 1st.

It’s our birthday!

3rd-year-anniversary-300x200 heartbeet is celebrating its 3rd anniversary on Saturday, June 18th from 5pm till very late. We’d love to see you, come by for a visit, a drink & a chat or a full meal! Darin Welch will entertain us with his great music – that’s a first – live music at heartbeet. Yay!!!

Wine & Dine Events


Our much enjoyed Wine & Dine Events will come back – possibly in the fall 2016 or for sure next year because we love them and we believe many of you do too. We’ve had some thinking and reorganizing to do this spring with the introduction of meat to our menu – don’t worry, there will still be a heavy weight on the vegetarian dishes – and how to make it work with our tiny kitchen.
